Rutgers University–New Brunswick seeks an Associate Director for Commissioning. The role leads commissioning for new buildings, major renovations, and equipment installs, and oversees metering and energy monitoring systems to drive efficiency across campus.

Responsibilities include policy development, staff supervision, coordinating with third-party vendors, and ensuring comprehensive documentation from commissioning reports to asset tagging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field with CAD experience and construction knowledge.
• Minimum five years in construction supervision and commissioning.
• Familiar with building management systems and MEP systems; able to review drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commissioning of new construction, major renovations, and equipment installation; document reports and manage third parties.
• Manage metering and energy data collection; work with third parties to establish front end and software for collection and alarms.
• Measure and verify energy systems before and after construction to ensure they operate as designed and reduce energy use.
• Develop commissioning and retro-commissioning policies and train team members.
