Job summary

Rutgers University is seeking an Associate Director for Commissioning to lead commissioning across new construction and renovations, including metering and energy-management setup. The role oversees third parties, ensures documentation, and drives energy efficiency measures.

The position requires a mechanical engineering-related degree with at least five years in construction and commissioning, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, Construction Technology, and CAD.
• Five (5) years of experience in construction in a supervisory and commissioning role.
• Driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing commissioning of new construction, major renovations, and equipment installation and documenting reports.
• Manage metering and data collection, coordinate with third parties, and build metering infrastructure.
• Perform measurement and verification to ensure systems operate as designed to save energy.
• Develop commissioning and retro-commissioning policies and train team members.
