Job summary

ElevateBio in Massachusetts seeks an Associate Director of Commercial Operations to manage long-term partnerships and drive CMC deal closures for cell and gene therapy. You will guide scope, pricing, and negotiations, route contracts for approval, and align cross-functional teams with partners.

You will lead executive discussions on contracts and sponsorships, monitor KPIs, mentor junior staff, and help scale partnership workflows across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• 9+ years in biopharma/biotech/CMO/CDMO roles.
• Experience in cell/gene therapy CMC and related ops.
• Contract negotiation and interpretation skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Familiarity with Hubspot or CRM systems preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end deal closure for new SOWs and change orders.
• Provide strategic guidance on CMC scope, pricing, and negotiations.
• Route contracts for approval per policies and resolve bottlenecks.
• Represent the Commercial team in JLT meetings and maintain partner relationships.
• Lead JSC meetings and ensure executive alignment on milestones.
• Direct operational execution of contracts with partners and align cross-functional teams.
• Assist with strategic and budgetary planning for manufacturing operations.
• Mentor junior alliance team members and drive process improvements.
