Job summary

CTMC, a Texas Medical Center biotech venture, seeks a Director of Business Development to drive partnerships, technology collaborations, and manufacturing agreements in cell therapy. This on-site role in Houston reports to the Head of PAL and anchors the company’s strategic growth.

You will spearhead pipeline management, negotiate development and manufacturing agreements, and help shape the Global Network Alliance. A strong background in biopharma BD and CRM systems is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
15+ years of biopharmaceutical experience including 6+ years in a Corporate/Business Development role or equivalent.
Experience implementing and/or managing CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc).
Experience with cell therapy manufacturing is highly preferred; viral vectors or related fields are a plus.
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Willingness to travel (approx. 20% plus Houston-area meetings/conferences).

Responsibilities

Define target partnership profiles and strategy for new development and manufacturing partners across CAR-T, TIL, and other modalities.
Build and maintain relationships across all stages of the pipeline from identification to execution.
Identify and engage biotech and academic partners for development and manufacturing collaborations.
Represent CTMC at conferences and events; coordinate outreach with senior leadership.
Lead on-site partner visits and coordinate alliance opportunities within the CTMC network.
