Job summary

Cell Therapy Manufacturing Center (CTMC) seeks a seasoned leader to drive business development and alliance activities across cell therapy development and manufacturing collaborations. You will guide partnerships, negotiate agreements, and expand global network alliances while ensuring smooth transitions from opportunities to execution.

The role resides in the PAL team and requires deep biopharma experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to travel up to ~20%

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; PhD or MBA preferred.
• 15+ years biopharmaceutical experience, including 6+ years in a Corporate/Business Development role or equivalent.
• Experience implementing and/or managing CRM systems (such as Monday, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc)
• Experience with cell therapy manufacturing highly preferred; related fields beneficial.
• Track record of deal making and strong negotiation skills.
• Strong communication skills, analytical capabilities, and exceptional presentation skills.
• Demonstrate organization, focus, and diplomacy; high emotional intelligence.
• Willing to travel as needed (approx. 20%).

Responsibilities

• Define target partnership profiles and strategic BD priorities for new development and manufacturing partners; develop partner acquisition strategy across CAR-T, TIL, and other cell therapy modalities.
• Build and maintain relationships through all stages of project pipeline.
• Identify prospective biotech and academic partners for development and manufacturing of cell therapy products; lead initial evaluation and outreach.
• Identify, plan and represent CTMC at conferences; develop outreach strategies with CEO, head of PAL and CTMC team.
• Organize and lead on-site visits of prospective or current partners; represent CTMC at the Texas Medical Center and regional events in Houston.
• Support expansion of current partnerships with the head of PAL, CTO and relevant teams.
• Coordinate technology transactions and negotiate development/manufacturing agreements; lead or support master service agreements and work orders.
• Lead onboarding of CTMC’s CRM system; drive CRM adoption across stakeholders.
