Job Description

Conceives, executes, and effectively manages and communicates multi-disciplinary Clinical Pharmacology development plans and strategies that achieve commercial goals and regulatory requirements for multiple functions. Generates new PK/PD study proposals and leads those efforts. Anticipates and critically evaluates Clinical Pharmacology, PK/PD, or regulatory advances, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and responds with appropriate new strategies. Demonstrates a strong record of accomplishment in Clinical Pharmacology and business objectives. Leads Clinical Pharmacology/PK/PD aspects of multiple projects. Responsible for evaluating technical and scientific aspects along with Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics management.

Description:

  • Accountable for Phase 1-4 study design and clinical pharmacology strategy; acts as the project representative.
  • Executes strategy, leads teams, and performs data analyses and interpretation, providing necessary context (including MoA and disease specifics, relevant data, analysis plans, and interpretation of model results).
  • Authors regulatory documents such as protocols, study reports, population PK reports, exposure-response analyses, CTDs, label sections, investigator brochures, white papers, etc.
  • Leads clinical pharmacology and biopharmaceutics meetings; represents Clinical Pharmacology at Clinical Strategy and Asset Development Teams; presents at departmental and cross-functional teams.
  • Drives small teams within Clinical Pharmacology to provide unified positions to clinical, CMC, and regulatory teams.
  • Authors scientific publications and presents at conferences; interacts with KOLs and external stakeholders.
  • Conducts due diligence assessments, summarizes results, and represents Clinical Pharmacology in business development.
  • Represents Clinical Pharmacology at regulatory meetings.

Qualifications

Note: This position requires onsite presence 3 days/week.

Associate Director, Clinical Pharmacology:

  • PhD with 4+ years of experience, or PharmD with 6+ years, or Master’s Degree with 12+ years, or Bachelor’s Degree with 14+ years in relevant fields (PK, PBPK, PK-PD, Pharmacometrics, systems pharmacology, drug metabolism/transporters).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with internal teams and external KOLs; leadership skills.
  • Strategic thinking and enterprise perspective.
  • Proven scientific and technical expertise.
  • Key Leadership Competencies include delivering results, resilience, respect, innovation, influence, and accountability.

Senior Clinical Pharmacologist:

  • PhD with no experience, or PharmD with 2+ years, or Master’s with 8+ years, or Bachelor’s with 10+ years in relevant fields.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate scientific acumen.
  • Key Leadership Competencies include resilience, learning from mistakes, results delivery, innovation, and influence.
