Associate Director, Supplier Relationship Management (Central/Specialty Labs)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships to drive operational and commercial excellence with suppliers supporting global development operations.
- Oversee partnership governance, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to enhance external collaboration and become a 'partner of choice.'
- Support innovation initiatives within supplier relationships and categories.
- Ensure predictable portfolio delivery through cross-functional collaboration, proactive risk management, and data analytics.
Accountabilities
- Facilitate supplier governance, including meetings and oversight tools.
- Lead operational performance improvements via root cause analysis and process standardization.
- Coordinate with Clinical Partner Outsourcing to align study execution with performance targets.
- Assess partner services for strategic alignment and capability.
- Provide direction to optimize success, value, and efficiency of supplier relationships.
- Manage issues effectively, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with procurement, therapeutic areas, and study teams to support business needs.
- Promote supplier innovation and continuous improvement aligned with sourcing strategies.
- Act as a role model and coach, fostering a partnership mindset.
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and support inspection readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years in drug development operations, with global experience preferred.
- Experience in clinical operational functions and building partnerships.
- Expertise in root cause analysis, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and team-building skills.
- Preferred experience managing CROs, labs, or related categories.
Compensation & Benefits
Location: Massachusetts - Virtual
Salary Range: $153,600 - $241,340, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Eligible for incentives, benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
