Job summary

SCU seeks an Associate Program Director of Clinical Education for the MSPA program in Tempe, AZ. This hybrid role oversees curriculum development, clinical education sites, and preceptors to meet accreditation standards and student outcomes.

The candidate will lead the clinical education team, manage SCPE operations, and ensure compliant documentation and data analysis for continuous program improvement. Strong leadership and medical education experience are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a PA/MD/DO program with U.S. clinical practice.
• Current licensure and NCCPA certification.
• Experience in PA education or medical education preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365, MS Teams and SIS.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision of the clinical education team.
• Develop, maintain, and secure clinical education sites and preceptors.
• Direct and oversee all aspects of the SCPE program for ARC-PA compliance.
• Design, implement, and evaluate the clinical curriculum and learning outcomes.
• Evaluate student performance, identify deficiencies, and oversee remediation.
• Manage clinical site operations, including placements and scheduling.
• Serve as liaison between the program, sites, and preceptors.
• Recruit, train, and support preceptors and evaluate learning objectives.
• Conduct site visits and evaluations of site adequacy and preceptor effectiveness.
• Maintain clinical records and accreditation documentation.
• Manage education systems and provide guidance on system use.
• Analyze data to support program improvement and accreditation.
• Participate in accreditation activities and self-studies.
• Provide academic advising related to clinical education and progression.
• Collaborate on curriculum development and strategic program goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
