Job summary

South University seeks an Assistant Director of Clinical Education for the Physician Assistant Program. This full-time faculty role coordinates the clinical phase, aligning supervised clinical practice experiences with student learning outcomes and PA competencies, in partnership with the Director of Clinical Education.

You will lead site coordination, evaluate student performance, support accreditation activities, and contribute to teaching, advising, and scholarly work.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in healthcare disciplines; master’s degree preferred.
• Eligibility for licensure or certification in applicable healthcare discipline; NCCPA certification preferred.
• PA graduates should have NCCPA certification or emeritus status.
• Emeritus clinicians are not required to hold active licensure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee clinical phase and design of SCPEs in alignment with outcomes.
• Collaborate with Clinical Education Team to support operations and planning.
• Assess and continuously improve the clinical curriculum and student performance.
• Develop a comprehensive site development and monitoring plan for SCPE sites.
• Provide teaching, advising, and assessment in PA program activities.
• Support accreditation activities and program self-evaluation and improvement.
