Job summary

BeOne Medicines in the United States is seeking an Associate Director to lead the Clinical Costing System and Tools, driving modernization of enterprise cost estimation for Phase I–III trials and integrating costing with CTMS, EDC, SAP, Workday, and HR systems.

You will own costing models, partner with global ops, finance, HR, and IT, and build scalable, auditable processes to improve resource planning and financial insight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in the CRO or biopharmaceutical industry, preferably in Pricing Tools and Systems, clinical operations, project finance, business operations, or costing management.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial delivery across Phases I–III and associated cost drivers.
• Experience with pricing tools, operational costing, resource modelling, or financial planning systems.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate operational details into quantitative models.
• Familiarity with financial modelling, pricing governance, and change management.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve the clinical trial costing tool(s).
• Refine costing models and algorithms for Phase I–III with inputs across functions.
• Ensure cost drivers, assumptions, effort models, and resource seniority are accurate.
• Collaborate with SMEs to maintain up-to-date parameters and benchmarks.
• Governance: implement cross-functional system/tool governance frameworks.
• Develop SOPs, guidance documents, and training materials.
• Provide training and support to internal stakeholders, global units and Finance.
• Coordinate with IT for system integration and data flows.
• Analyze cost trends and generate dashboards and scenario models.
• Support benchmarking, portfolio analysis, and continuous improvements.
