Job summary

RTX in Ft Wayne, IN seeks an Associate Director Chief Engineer for the Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) / Advanced Systems product line. You will lead engineering cost, schedule and technical execution across multiple programs, coordinating with IPTs and external vendors to meet customer requirements.

You will be the technical focal point for the program, mentor engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to advance digital engineering, model-based strategies, and cross-disciplinary design.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience in airborne electronic warfare systems design, use-case development, operational analysis, integration/test and/or system qualification.
• Experience as a Lead Design Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer, IPT Lead, or other Engineering Lead.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required after start; U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform as the Associate Director Chief Engineer, overseeing engineering execution of multiple programs across technical, schedule and financial aspects.
• Lead program vision, strategy and goals aligned with customer requirements.
• Serve as primary technical POC with customer senior technical counterparts.
• Guide engineering activities across IPTs/CPTs to ensure system design meets performance, cost and schedule constraints.
• Provide technical oversight to vendors and mentor engineers.
• Travel as needed to support programs (~10%).
