Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. invites a highly skilled Associate Director to advance quantitative pharmacology and pharmacometrics across cardiometabolic programs. You will lead model-based strategies, collaborate on cross-functional teams, and shape regulatory submissions with translational PK/PD and mechanistic modeling.

The role spans Rahway, NJ, and West Point, PA, with a hybrid work option. You will drive data interpretation, study design, and regulatory communications while mentoring junior scientists

Qualifications

• Pharmacometric experience in drug discovery and development with increasing responsibility.
• Experience with population PK/PKPD analyses and standard tools.
• Strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
• Educational background in quantitative biopharmaceutics or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply model-based strategies to inform quantitative decisions.
• Represent QP2 on cardiometabolic discovery and development teams.
• Collaborate with external vendors and strategic partners on model-informed approaches.
• Design studies, interpret data, and communicate results clearly.
• Maintain understanding of global regulatory expectations and contribute to regulatory submissions.
• Provide scientific input on modeling strategies and reporting.
