Job summary

Wayne State University in Detroit, MI seeks an Associate Director, Business Services FP&M to oversee financial and internal control activities for Facilities Planning & Management. The role directs budgetary operations, partnering with Accounting, HR, Payroll and Purchasing to advance performance improvements.

You will manage a $300M plant fund and $20M in total funding, develop KPIs, maintain internal controls, supervise staff, and drive process improvements across the division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration; master's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of financial management experience with at least 3 years supervisory.
• Experience with enterprise information systems and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage the plant fund of $300M+ and related project accounts.
• Develop, analyze and provide information including KPIs and reports.
• Maintain internal control systems to prevent errors and fraud.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of direct reports and workflow improvements.
• Coordinate with Accounting, HR, Payroll and Purchasing across the division.
