Job summary

MSD Malaysia is seeking an Associate Director, Process Development for Large Molecules to lead technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing in the US region, ensuring robust, scalable processes and timely launches.

You will manage a high-performing team, coordinate with R&D, operations, quality and regulatory, and drive risk management and cost improvements while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Protein Chemistry, Biology or related field.
• Minimum 8 years post-graduate experience or 6 years with MS or 4 years with doctorate.
• Minimum 3 years of direct management experience.
• Experience in technology transfer/PD/manufacturing in a regulated biopharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust processes and right-first-time tech transfer from R&D to operations for antigens and final products.
• Build and sustain a high-performing technology transfer team with focus on safety, compliance, and employee development.
• Lead data-driven decisions, manage risk, and drive continuous process improvements to reduce COGs.
• Oversee strategic initiatives and align goals with regional technology organization.
