Milltown Partners LLP in New York seeks an Associate Director to lead client relationships, shape strategic direction, and ensure work meets the highest standards. It’s a hands-on role, advising clients directly and working alongside teams, not just directing from above.

You’ll coach colleagues, develop the external network, pursue new business opportunities, and support growth across our US team with a culture of collaboration and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Around 8 years+ of corporate communications experience in consultancy or in-house roles.
• Strategic approach to reputation challenges rooted in research, data and insight.
• Advisory relationships with senior stakeholders and high-pressure counsel.
• Integrated campaigns engaging diverse audiences and channels.
• Media strategy development and active media network.
• Experience coaching and developing others.
• Existing network within technology, policy, media or investor communities.
• Strong grasp of AI tools and adoption across teams.
• Intellectual curiosity and entrepreneurial approach to networking.
• Commitment to feedback and inclusive culture.
• Excellent command of written and verbal English.
• Experience advising on emerging technology challenges.
• Experience working within scaling teams.

Responsibilities

• Take strategic responsibility for clients’ most important communications challenges and shape narratives.
• Lead client relationships and deliver high-quality advisory work with senior teams.
• Coach colleagues, lead teams across the US, and foster collaboration.
• Contribute to AI-enhanced advisory and share best practices across the firm.
• Identify opportunities, build an external network, and contribute to pitches and proposals.
• Shape culture with feedback, allyship, and inclusive practices.
