Job summary

Tombras is seeking an Associate Director of SEO & AI Visibility to lead modern search programs for national and multi-location brands. This role blends enterprise SEO strategy with AI-enabled content workflows and GEO/AEO planning, spanning technical SEO, local SEO, and AI discovery across platforms.

You will guide clients through zero-click search, cited-answer environments, and AI-mediated discovery, while mentoring a team of practitioners and partnering with cross-functional teams to elevate

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SEO with enterprise leadership.
• Hands-on expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, local SEO, and organic performance.
• Clear view on AI Overviews, LLMs, answer engines and generative discovery.
• Experience with GEO/AEO strategies for AI results and discovery.
• Experience using AI tools to improve SEO productivity.
• Strong understanding of structured data, semantic search, and entity optimization.
• Ability to measure broader visibility, discoverability, and business outcomes.
• Proficiency with enterprise SEO platforms and local/listings tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEO and AI visibility strategy for national, enterprise, and multi-location brands.
• Architect modern organic discovery strategies across multiple platforms.
• Translate search shifts into actionable client plans for zero-click and AI environments.
• Develop GEO/AEO frameworks emphasizing semantic clarity and content architecture.
• Create AI-enabled content workflows to improve deliverables and efficiency.
• Ensure brand truth and editorial judgment in AI-assisted workflows.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve signals and AI citation visibility.
• Lead technical SEO strategy including schema, hreflang, sitemaps, and migrations.
• Oversee local SEO and reputation programs for multi-location brands.
• Monitor brand presence across traditional search and AI-driven experiences.
