Job summary

Lutheran Community Services Northwest, operating Compass division, seeks an Associate Director of Advancement to lead fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and program alignment. Based in the Puget Sound region, you will guide Compass and related priorities, shaping philanthropic activities to advance health, justice and hope.

You will oversee planning, donor pipelines, and staff, partnering across Advancement with leadership to drive fundraising results and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in fundraising, development, donor relations, or advancement in a nonprofit.
• Experience leading staff, complex portfolios, or cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong understanding of donor-centered fundraising practices and data management.

Responsibilities

• Lead advancement activities translating philanthropic strategy into priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Advise leadership on donor trends, community relationships, and opportunities to inform priorities.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with individual, corporate, foundation, faith-based, and community donors.
• Oversee portfolios including planning, pipelines, revenue forecasting, stewardship, and donor data management.
• Coordinate fundraising activities with colleagues across departments to align practices.
• Direct advancement staff to ensure effective execution and progress toward goals.
• Represent LCSNW to donors, faith communities, businesses, and partners, building inclusive relationships.
