Job summary

University of Georgia in Athens seeks an Associate Director for Academic and Curriculum Management to join the SSAC within the College of Family and Consumer Sciences. This role leads high-level academic advising and curriculum initiatives, collaborating with departments, coordinators, and stakeholders to drive degree completion and program quality.

The position emphasizes planning, policy development, and data-driven reporting while ensuring adherence to university standards and statewide

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience.
• Master’s degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay informed about curriculum policies and procedures and disseminate information as needed.
• Answer faculty, staff, and student inquiries and attend meetings related to curriculum.
• Provide reports to faculty, staff, and students upon request. Assist Director with SSAC and academic advising assessments and reports.
• Work with college personnel to facilitate course scheduling.
• Lead and update academic status updates for all students, including DCT students.
• Coordinate reinstatement of DCT students.
• Assist SSAC Director with coordinating FACS participation in the Connect & Complete Persistence Framework.
• Coordinate FACS communications to students participating in Connect & Complete.
• Serve on the degree completion team for FACS students as needed.
