Job summary

Lifeworks in West Roxbury, MA is seeking an Associate Director, LES Boston to lead program operations and deliver high-quality services for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

In this role you will supervise staff, coordinate daily activities and transportation, manage intake with the Director, and ensure documentation and coordination with DDS partners. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and meaningful community support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a minimum of three years related experience, including at least two years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with Individuals with ID/DD.
  • Must pass Fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and Driving background checks.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes optimal health for individuals through routine, preventive, and emergency health care and clinical services. Ensures that work environments are safe, secure and where individuals are free from harm.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and train staff in providing quality programming. Oversee evaluation of job performance and the establishment of objectives for performance enhancement of those staff. Oversee the interviewing of staff for the program.
  • Encourages regular communication and cooperation among staff and works with the staff to assure coordination of services. Maintains effective communication with residential providers, families, other support providers, and funding sources.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of daily and weekly staff assignments. Coordinate and plan with staff, daily activities, transportation to and from job sites as well as coaching individuals at job sites.
  • Coordinate with the Director for the intake of referrals.
  • Maintain agency standards of services for people in the program. Ensure implementation of team meetings, support services and communication with all team members.
  • Maintain accurate written and electronic records for individuals served for the purpose of program evaluation, billing, etc.
  • Oversee and assist with the preparation and implementation of Individual Support Plans for employees funded by the Department of Developmental Services. Works closely with the DDS Case Management Team Service Coordinators.
  • Assist the Director in long‑term and short‑term planning development, organization and evaluation of services and in the daily operation of program. Oversee the coordination of scheduling of substitute staff for the program.
  • Implements Quality Enhancement standards within the program.
  • Other duties and/or assignments to work/program locations based on the needs of the company.
