Job summary

Legend Homes / Academy Development in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Assistant Development Manager to support the Project Manager in day-to-day land development activities, due diligence on land acquisitions, and development approvals.

You will assist with budgeting, field observations, and coordinating across land development, acquisitions, and construction teams, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in land development/infrastructure preferred.
• Exposure to land analysis, MUD, and development processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in day-to-day land development activities.
• Assist with due diligence and acquisition analysis.
• Coordinate information sharing among land development, acquisitions, and construction teams.
• Assist budgeting, tracking, field observations, and development approvals.
• Attend meetings (MUD and others) as needed.
• Help with permits, contracts, and change orders as directed.
• Contribute to design, review, and permitting processes.
• Travel as required; participate in inspections and turnovers.
