Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in fashion design, including sketching, garment detailing, and working with technical design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Experience researching trends, fabrics, and trims, with the ability to translate insights into commercial, brand-appropriate designs.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with design, production, merchandising, and sales teams.
  • Attention to detail in fit, construction, and quality, with a clear understanding of the contemporary and high-end fashion market.
  • Previous internship or professional experience in fashion or apparel design is preferred, especially within contemporary or high-end women’s wear.

Responsibilities

Role Description

The Associate Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. This role supports the design team in developing seasonal collections, including researching trends, sourcing fabrics and trims, and assisting with sketching and technical design packages. The Associate Designer helps prepare presentation boards, organizes samples, and collaborates with production, merchandising, and sales teams to ensure design intent is maintained through development. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining design files and libraries, attending fittings, and providing feedback on fit, construction, and details to align with brand standards.
