Job summary

42 North Dental in Torrington, CT is seeking a General Dentist to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis and deliver the full patient care experience from exam to treatment planning and delivery of care.

In-office services include periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery and orthodontics. You will educate patients, create treatment plans, maintain records, and stay current with new techniques through continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from ADA CODA accredited program.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review, maintain and update patients' dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues.
• Maintain high standards of ethics and professionalism; stay current with new developments.
