Job summary

University of Iowa seeks an Associate Dean for Undergraduate & MSN-EIP to provide executive leadership for BSN and Graduate Entry programs. The role oversees day-to-day academic operations, collaborates with the executive team, Felton Student Success Center, and other College stakeholders to ensure program vitality.

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral nursing degree, a record of teaching excellence, strong scholarly credentials, and at least two years of academic administration experience,

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in curriculum and/or program development and evaluation.
• Record of teaching excellence, innovation and creativity in baccalaureate and/or graduate entry nursing education.
• Record of scholarly achievement.
• At a minimum, eligibility for appointment as an Associate Professor of Instruction.
• Current, or eligible and complete, licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Iowa upon appointment.
• Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
• Minimum of two years of academic administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and administrative direction for the BSN and graduate entry (MSN-EIP) programs.
• Ensures overall integrity and quality of BSN and graduate entry programming and secures resources.
• Leads strategic planning and accreditation-related activities.
• Represents the College to internal and external constituents and maintains partnerships with UI Health Care.
• Oversees budgeting and financial management for undergraduate and MSN-EIP programs.
