Job summary

UCLA seeks an Associate Dean for Innovation and Program Development to lead AI/Instructional Media, Instructional Design, and Program Development and Strategic Administration within the Anderson School of Management.

Reporting to the Dean, you will translate priorities into coordinated strategies, manage a multi-function portfolio, and guide budgets and resources, balancing governance with ambitious academic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Progressively responsible management experience in higher education or similarly complex organizations.
• Experience with budgets, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Familiarity with faculty governance and shared governance processes.
• Proven track record leading complex academic or non-degree programs.
• External leadership in management education or related networks.
• Ability to lead multiple functions and senior professionals.
• Strong strategic thinking and execution with measurable results.
• Excellent analytical, financial, and operational judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of three functional areas: AI/Instructional Media, Instructional Design, and Program Development.
• Translate School priorities into coordinated strategies, structures, and resources.
• Oversee budgets and capital investments for technology and studio capabilities.
• Manage a team of direct and indirect reports and set performance expectations.
• Collaborate with Dean and Academic Senate to align governance with initiatives.
• Oversee 3-5 major initiatives concurrently and drive outcomes.
