Job summary

Excelon Associates is seeking an Associate Dean of Academic Affairs in Orlando, Florida to lead the coordination of academic programs and student-focused initiatives. The role supports recruitment, education, retention, reentry, and overall student success while assisting the Dean of Academic Affairs in advancing the institution’s mission.

The incumbent will plan, organize, staff, supervise, develop, and evaluate the campus academic department, ensuring programs meet regulatory and accreditation

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or related field required.
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience at the college level.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English, including written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated leadership, patience, empathy, and adaptability.
• Ability to work extended hours including evenings and Saturdays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support achievement of student retention, satisfaction, and certification goals.
• Develop and maintain student support structures, advising processes, and schedules.
• Coordinate reentry/readmission and attendance initiatives for on-campus and online programs.
• Ensure courses are staffed with qualified faculty across modalities.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and develop faculty and instructors.
• Conduct regular meetings and formal classroom observations of faculty and leadership.
• Oversee faculty development, scheduling, and compliance with accreditation requirements.
• Collaborate with academic leadership to improve instructional quality and student outcomes.
