Job summary

Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry seeks an innovative leader for the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. This full-time role provides strategic leadership aligned with accreditation standards and the college’s mission.

You will prepare data analyses and reports to support educational programs and participate in the Dental Executive Committee. The position requires expertise in curriculum planning, accreditation processes, and excellent communication and managerial skills to work with

Qualifications

Five or more years of academic management experience in a school or college.
Ability to foster a humane and inclusive environment for a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
Experience with curriculum planning and accreditation processes.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
License to practice dentistry or eligibility (Tennessee)

Responsibilities

Lead development and implementation of the strategic plan in relation to college, school, and accreditation goals.
Lead the curriculum management plan development.
Prepare for CODA accreditation site visits and ensure adherence to CODA standards.
Collect data and provide outcomes analysis for the school’s educational programs.
Prepare reports for internal and external agencies.
Serve on the Dental Executive Committee.
Teach in a didactic or clinical setting as area of expertise.
Oversee compliance with academic standards and integrity among students.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
