Job summary

Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry seeks an innovative leader for the role of Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. This full-time academic position provides leadership in strategic plan development, curriculum management, and CODA accreditation activities, reporting to the Dean and serving on the Dental Executive Committee.

Qualifications

• Curriculum planning and management expertise.
• Knowledge of the dental accreditation process (CODA).
• Excellent communication and managerial abilities.
• Didactic and/or clinical teaching responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead ongoing development and implementation of the strategic plan for the college and school as well as accreditation standards.
• Lead development and implementation of the curriculum management plan.
• Prepare for CODA accreditation site visits and ensure adherence to CODA standards.
• Collect data and provide outcomes analysis for the school’s educational programs.
• Prepare reports for internal and external agencies.
• Serve on the Dental Executive Committee.
• Teach in didactic or clinical settings aligned with expertise.
• Oversee compliance with academic standards and promote integrity.
