Job summary

Key Point Health Services in Aberdeen, MD is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Rehabilitation Associate Counselor to join our Aberdeen team. Responsibilities include conducting psycho-educational groups, teaching community skills, and ensuring accurate documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma (or Associates degree) and a Maryland driver’s license; willing to drive 15-passenger vans and transport members to activities. Equal opportunity employer and health benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years of work experience.
• Associates Degree (or over 60 college credits) in psychology, sociology or a human services field with no experience required.
• Valid and active Maryland driver's license (or state of residence)
• Pass a criminal background check, MVA check, and pre-employment drug screenings.
• Must have your own vehicle.
• Someone who has a passion for working with individuals with a mental illness or a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document onsite and offsite psycho educational groups.
• Teach community skills including ADLs as needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all documentation.
• Safely transport PRP members to and from the program and offsite activities.
• Provide comprehensive services including assessment, case management, psycho education, crisis intervention, advocacy, and community liaison.
• Must drive 15 passenger vans.

What You Need:

• High school diploma and 2 years of work experience. Experience in psychiatric rehab, mental health, related human services, and/or customer service field is preferred.
• OR
