Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company seeks an Associate Counsel to join the Investments Legal Practice Group. You will provide general legal services for assigned areas, supporting investment professionals, portfolio managers, and compliance teams in sophisticated private investment transactions.

This role requires a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and a valid state license, with up to four years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active license to practice in relevant state(s).
• Up to four years of proven legal experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal support to an assigned Investments area.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a range of agreements (subscription, LPA, note purchase, side letters).
• Research legal issues and develop conclusions and recommendations.
• Advise on regulatory and legal obligations under federal/state securities and insurance laws.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to execute transactions.
