Munich Re America Services (MRAS) seeks an Associate Counsel in Hartford, CT. The role supports the Legal & Compliance Team, reporting to the Senior Associate General Counsel.

It focuses on limited-scope advisory, regulatory matters, and routine transactional work within HSB's insurance and reinsurance businesses. The successful candidate will work with internal teams to advance strategic objectives, ensure regulatory compliance, and balance legal risk with business goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to render practical legal advice balancing regulatory and business needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to simplify complex topics.
• Experience supporting executives and mid-level clients on routine legal matters.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal advice and support to internal clients on basic, limited-scope matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Assist with regulatory needs and routine transactional work.
• Support development, partnering, and commercialization activities for insurance and reinsurance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts.
