Job Summary

This evening position consists of two four‑hour shifts per week, from 4:30 to 8:30 pm, including every other weekend and every other holiday. The role assists the cook with production and service for patients, residents, cafeteria, vending, and special functions. Responsibilities include preparation of foods for modified diets, maintaining hand washing and infection control practices, storing leftover foods per policy, assembling food items timely, floor stocking, supporting central kitchen positions, weighing ingredients, salad making, cafeteria register duties, room service, grocery put‑away, requisition gathering, and prepping grab‑n‑go areas such as yogurt and sandwiches.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in the food industry preferred. Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions; perform basic math; work independently; stand for majority of day and walk long distances. On‑the‑job training provided.
