Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a friendly Cook for Hillsboro Medical Center in Hillsboro, ND. This part-time role involves assembling, preparing, seasoning, and portioning meals for residents and patients, with flexible scheduling and training.

You’ll join a not-for-profit food service team offering stable hours, advancement opportunities, and a benefits package. The position requires basic reading/writing and may require Serv Safe and BLS depending on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to read, write and follow oral and written directions; basic math.
• Minimum six months of applicable experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Serv Safe certification may be required depending on location; additional endorsements may be required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending on location.
• Driver's license may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and provides the highest quality and safest food possible.
• Follows standardized recipes and guidelines for cooks to prepare, store and use food.
• Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery.
• Performs washing and cleaning duties to insure sanitation.
• Operates equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, food grinders, and more

Job Summary

• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending upon location requirements.
• Depending on location, may be required to drive. Valid Driver's License may be required.
