Bascom Hunter in Baton Rouge, LA, is seeking an Associate Control Systems Engineer to support modeling, development, integration, and verification of control systems for aerospace and defense applications.

This role is intended for new graduates and engineers with approximately 0–3 years of experience. Under senior guidance you will develop dynamic system models, implement and tune control algorithms, support MIL and HIL testing, and participate in system integration and verification.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Controls, Mechatronics Engineering or closely related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience; prior full-time engineering experience not required.
• Foundational understanding of dynamic systems, feedback control, and classical control concepts.
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink in academic, project, or professional settings.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements, plots, schematics, and control diagrams.

Responsabilidades

• Develop dynamic models and control algorithms for multidisciplinary systems.
• Support MIL, SIL, and HIL testing and real-time simulation.
• Translate requirements into measurable software requirements and documentation.
• Collaborate with systems, software, electrical, and mechanical engineers on integration.
• Assist in verification, test artifacts, and design reviews.
• Contribute to engineering process documentation and model-based design efforts.
