Job summary

Bascom Hunter is seeking an Associate Electrical Systems Engineer to support the definition, integration, and verification of aerospace electrical systems for defense applications. You will work under senior engineers to develop requirements, interface documentation, and perform electrical analyses in a hands-on environment.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates with foundational knowledge and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree completed by employment start date.
• Foundational knowledge of circuit analysis, power, and signals.
• Reading electrical schematics and block diagrams.
• Experience with lab instruments (multimeters, oscilloscopes).

Responsibilities

• Translate customer and system requirements into measurable electrical subsystem requirements.
• Develop and update electrical block diagrams, interconnection schematics, and ICDs.
• Perform power-budget, load-current, and voltage-drop calculations for 28 VDC and 270 VDC systems.
• Support harness, wire sizing, grounding, shielding, and documentation activities.
• Document operating modes, startup/shutdown sequences, and fault responses.
