Job summary

Certus Recruitment is partnering with an established engineering, program management and construction management consultancy to appoint an Associate Construction Manager to its Colorado team, based in Fort Collins.

This role suits a construction or engineering professional with 5+ years of progressive experience who wants to own complex infrastructure projects while learning from seasoned managers on a broad portfolio that spans water, utilities, transportation and municipal facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in CM/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years progressive engineering and construction experience.
• Experience in construction project management and contract administration.
• Strong understanding of construction quality, inspection, testing and documentation.
• Experience managing project schedules, costs and multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with contractors, engineers, clients and public agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage project controls across cost, schedule, quality and performance.
• Coordinate contractors, engineers, utilities, government agencies and clients.
• Review project schedules, critical paths, float and construction progress.
• Support contract administration, including pay applications, change orders and field directives.
• Conduct site inspections and field observations.
• Monitor contractor work against plans, specifications, codes and submittals.
• Manage QA/QC documentation and material testing.
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, meeting minutes and records.
• Maintain record drawings and as-built documentation.
• Support surveying and field layout verification where required.
• Coordinate commissioning, punch lists, testing, warranties and closeout.
