Job summary

Imperial Health Plan of California, Inc. seeks an Associate Compliance Officer to drive the development, implementation, operation, and monitoring of the Compliance Program.

The role partners with the Compliance Officer to ensure CMS and state regulatory alignment and foster an ethical culture. Responsibilities include directing the Compliance Department, overseeing program effectiveness, and reporting to the CEO and Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 3 to 5 years of related work experience in a health plan environment.
• Required: 2 years of healthcare compliance experience or, in lieu thereof, two years working with CMS government programs.
• Required: 2 years of experience in healthcare regulatory requirements, both state and federal.
• Internal and external audit experience preferred.
• Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and monitor efforts to ensure operational compliance with applicable federal and state laws and CMS program requirements.
• Embodies and promotes an overall culture of compliance that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with the law.
• Manage the Compliance Department alongside the Compliance Officer.
• Oversee and monitor implementation and effectiveness of the Compliance Program, including supervision of direct employees.
• Develop the Compliance Committee and provide reports to the Board/CEO as required.
• Lead activities related to audits, monitoring, and corrective action plans with CMS and regulators.
