Job summary

Imperial Health Plan of California, Inc. in Pasadena seeks an experienced Corporate Counsel – Healthcare to support health plans and affiliated healthcare businesses.

You will advise on contracts, regulatory matters and compliance, and work with executive leadership. This hands-on role requires managing disputes, settlements, and outside counsel, while partnering with Compliance, HR, Finance and Operations to minimize risk.

Qualifications

• Healthcare law experience in regulated environments.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience advising on regulatory and compliance matters.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal internal legal resource for health plans and affiliated healthcare businesses.
• Manage litigation, arbitrations and pre-litigation disputes, including provider and reimbursement disputes.
• Negotiate settlements and review or prepare settlement agreements.
• Manage outside counsel and legal budgets across multiple states.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts including provider agreements, LOAs, NDAs and technology agreements.
• Advise on provider contracting, reimbursement, and network matters.
• Partner with Compliance on regulatory inquiries, investigations and policies.
