Accendra Health is seeking a billing representative to service customer accounts and ensure timely remittance. You will follow up with payers to facilitate uninterrupted cash flow and resolve billing errors, using EOBs and HCPC/ICD-9 terminology. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems is required.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry and timely documention of activities, with emphasis on communication and adherence to guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Healthcare environment experience preferred (1+ year).
• Proficient in medical terminology and billing concepts.

Responsibilities

The representative will also follow-up with payers to facilitate uninterrupted cash flow.Job Duties:Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to practice proper phone and email etiquette,Skilled in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.Ability to read and understand EOBs.Answers questions from customers, clerical staff, and insurance companies.Identifies and resolves patient billing errors / complaints.Familiar with medical terminology and insurances HCPC/ICD-9 codes,Documents activities in VisiQuate and ERP systems in an efficient accurate and timely manner.Ensures the billing activity is handled correctly.Ability to evaluate and secure the needed Rx’s, PA’s and medical justification to facilitate payment of claims for initial and review/appeals payments.Ability to edit and resubmit claims for payment.Prepares and reviews clean claims for submission to various insurances either electronically or paper.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.Provide feedback to Group Team Lead / Supervisor regarding issues regarding accounts.Reporting payer / denial trends and any other issues to supervisor in a professional and timely manner.Conducts routine tasks as directed; works under clearly defined guidelines.Contributes to specific objectives and outcomes as directed.Manages time well to ensure project, deadlines, and metrics are met constantly.Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent1+ years in healthcare environmentProficient in medical terminologyFamiliar with billing prossesesTeammate BenefitsAs an Accendra Health employee, you have choices to fit your life.
