Job summary

Archbold Medical Center in Georgia seeks an Associate Clinical Applications Specialist - IS Clinical Services to support hospital operations and clinical information flow. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in Healthcare IT, with Oracle Health familiarity.

You will assess priorities, troubleshoot complex problems, lead projects, coordinate with Informatics, mentor junior analysts, and participate in service desk activities. Strong communication and project management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses priorities of clinical customer needs and problems related to hospital operations and clinical information flow.
  • Troubleshoots, analyzes and solves complex problems, provides guidance to customers and communicates clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Manages medium to large projects, develops and maintains project plans to ensure deadlines.
  • Collaborates with Informatics to identify and resolve system administration, security, configuration, testing, and implementation issues.
  • Attends project meetings and provides timely updates to IS Leadership.

Associate Clinical Applications Specialist - IS Clinical Services
Education Requirements

REQUIRES Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, Business, Health Information Management, or related health care field from an accredited college or university OR equivalent work experience.

Required Experience

Minimum 5 years in Healthcare IT experience and 1 year of Oracle Health

Experience required. Oracle Health certifications preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Assesses priorities of clinical customer's needs and problems related to both hospital operations and the flow of clinical information with respect to patient care.
  • Troubleshoots, analyzes and solves complex problems, provides guidance and instruction to customers, verbal and written communication is clear and concise, interacts with customers of different levels of expertise as well as the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Demonstrates advance project management skills, productivity, time management, Advance IT skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize high priority tasks projects simultaneously. Leads medium to large size projects simultaneously along with developing and maintaining project plans to ensure success and meet deadlines.
  • Working with the Informatics team to identify and resolve issues regarding system administration, system security, system configuration, testing activities and project implementations.
  • Able to assist in project meetings and provide updates to IS Leadership in a timely manner.
  • Maintains knowledge and awareness of advances and development in computer technology.
  • Assists in mentoring and developing Associate Clinical Applications Analyst, Clinical Applications Analyst, and Senior Clinical Applications Analyst to achieve growth in experience.
  • Functions as Service Desk support personnel as needed.
  • Complete annual education core requirements.
Physical Demands

Work is largely sedentary, with occasional standing and walking. Reaches, handles, lifts, and carry heavy books, manuals, and listings, which seldom exceed twenty pounds in weight. Works in a clean, well-lit, heated and ventilated office environment. May be required to work prolonged or irregular hours, take on-call, and attend occasional meetings. Hours are generally Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, but weekend and after-hours work is occasionally required.

Supervised By: IS Assistant Director, IS Director, or IS Vice President
