Job summary

Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, GA, seeks a Campus Safety Officer to patrol hospital grounds, monitor security systems, and assist patients and staff. You will respond to alarms, document incidents, and help ensure a safe environment for visitors and employees.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a clean driving record, and good problem-solving and communication skills. Prior security experience, preferably in a hospital setting, is a plus; physical fitness tests are part of

• Must have a clean driving record.
• One-year experience in security preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting a plus.
• Must possess good problem solving skills.
• Must communicate effectively and demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written communication.
• Must successfully complete an initial physical fitness test and maintain physical fitness standards.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the hospital, parking areas, and hospital grounds.
• Investigate unsecured doors, gates, vehicles and buildings.
• Accompany visitors and staff to parking areas when requested.
• Open doors, gates, vehicles and building for authorized personnel.
• Monitor/operate Closed Circuit Television (CCTVs), two-way radios, telephones, fire enunciator system, and equipment alarms.
• Operate/maintain motor vehicle.
• Maintain assigned equipment.
• Enforce parking and traffic policies.
• Assist motorists with vehicle problems (dead battery, flat tire etc…).
• Perform package inspections.
• Respond to and investigate alarms.
• Assist staff with patients when needed.
• Assist staff if confrontational situations arise.
• Respond to Emergency Codes.
• Assist law enforcement as needed.
• Complete incident reports.
• Write concise and factual shift reports.
• Investigate traffic accidents.
