Job summary

Archbold Medical Center is seeking a Payments Receivable Specialist in Patient Financial Services to accurately post payments and adjustments for patient accounts and the general ledger. You will allocate insurance details, demonstrate professional competence, and uphold departmental policies while maintaining positive relationships to sustain organizational efficiency.

• Post all payments and necessary adjustments promptly for patient accounts and the general ledger

Payments Receivable Specialist - Patient Financial Services

Description

• Responsible for accurate and timely posting of all payments and necessary adjustments received by the hospital for both patient accounts and the general ledger
• Timely allocation of additional insurance information to the patient account
• Demonstrates professional competence
• Demonstrates good judgment through adherence and support of the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of the department and organization
• Maintains positive interpersonal relationships to promote and maintain the efficiency of the organization
• Manages, plans and controls the workflow of the Cash Control Officer position to ensure the completion of work assigned

Experience/Qualifications
