Job Title: Associate Client Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Client Manager, a client interacting position, supports Advisors, Client Executives, Client Managers, and the client by completing various tasks common in day-to-day commercial insurance servicing. Prompt, accurate and professional handling of requests, both internally and directly for the client will ensure clients receive the best possible experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Retrieve electronic copy of endorsements, policies and other documents from carrier website and attach to the appropriate client in Epic.
- Order loss runs and experience modification worksheets from insurance carriers via email requests or retrieval from carrier websites.
- Create and send pre-renewal applications and questionnaires to the team via the Indio platform.
- Build proposal templates for the service team.
- Obtain quotes for less complex, mono-line policies via carrier websites.
- Issue and distribute new and renewal insurance certificates to clients, including generating certificate holder lists at pre-renewal.
- Order MVR as needed for underwriting purposes.
- Issue auto ID cards.
- Request policy changes from carriers, update the client’s application, document appropriately in Epic, and follow up until changes are received.
- Process carrier endorsements and premium audits by verifying accuracy, invoicing, sending letters to clients and ensuring Epic database is updated.
- Process direct bill notices of cancellation by contacting carrier, determining if payment has been made, and notifying the Client Manager of outcome.
- Respond to internal and external emails within 24 hours with an acknowledgment of receipt and a timeline for follow-up.
- Review electronically scanned mail and process through proper activities.
- Input various types of client data into Epic.
- Check policies for accuracy, note discrepancies, and obtain direction from Client Manager on how to handle discrepancies.
- Participate in training to enhance knowledge and skills and stay current with industry changes.
- Attach and maintain all correspondence in Epic as required in department procedures.
- Attend and participate in department meetings as well as other meetings as needed.
- May handle traditional client servicing associated with a full or reduced book of business.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Possession and maintenance of Property and Casualty Insurance license for the State of Colorado, or willingness to obtain.
- Proactive participation in continuing education classes.
- 1-2 years of industry experience in a similar position beneficial, but experience not required.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Strong written, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, time management and oral communication skills.
- Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and follow-through, results-oriented nature, ability to multi-task, ability to work at a fast pace, and ability to prioritize frequently throughout the day.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Ability to make decisions that are limited to a few options with minimal room for discretion.
- Ability to solve problems that are relatively simple in nature, requiring some analysis or research to determine the best solution from a limited number of prescribed options.
- Proficient in technology and the use of data management software, including ability to organize and sort through data presented in various forms. Accurate entry of data and supporting documentation into the software is a must.
- Basic understanding of debits and credits.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibility as the need arises.
COMPENSATION INFORMATION:
- Pay Range: $21-$34/hr (dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
- Total Compensation = Pay + Performance + Benefits
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, tablets, phones, and multi-function printers.
