Job description

Based in property and reports to Maintenance Manager.

Assist in the maintenance of the building, including plumbing & sanitary systems, fire protection, security, mechanical, and electrical systems of the property.

Lead, manage, train, and guide a team of technicians and vendors/contractors, including property orientation for new hires.

Inspect maintenance work and perform hands-on troubleshooting and repairs.

Respond to, resolve, and close rectification request cases within the designated timeline.

Assist in evacuation procedures during emergencies, follow emergency response plans, and adhere to safety procedures.

Assist in administering and updating maintenance data and records, including technicians’ roster planning and asset/inventory registration.

Assist in obtaining quotations for management’s approval.

Perform related ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Participate in the company's sustainability efforts and promote an inclusive work environment.

Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant supervisory experience in a hotel engineering team.
• Diploma or ITE qualification in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering.
• Well-versed in building and M&E codes of practice.
• Ability to read building, plumbing & sanitary, fire-protection, mechanical, and electrical plans.
• Technical knowledge and experience in building, plumbing & sanitary, mechanical HVAC, and electrical maintenance.
• Fire Safety Manager certification is preferred.
• Must have a sense of urgency.
• Able to work in a rotating shift environment.
• Team player with flexibility to work during weekends and public holidays.
