RumbergerKirk is seeking an Associate Attorney in Tampa with 3–5 years of civil litigation experience, emphasizing general liability. This role offers direct client interaction and active involvement in case strategy and management to build a thriving practice under mentorship.

You will represent clients through all phases of litigation, draft essential documents, conduct depositions, and support trial preparation while honing scholarly and practical skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of civil litigation experience required.
• Experience in general liability, casualty, premises liability, product liability, or complex litigation preferred.
• Ability to manage cases with increasing independence and responsibility.
• Experience handling depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in all phases of civil litigation, from case inception through trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions, attend hearings and mediations, and assist with trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
• Work directly with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Collaborate with supervising attorneys to develop litigation strategy and achieve outcomes.
