Job summary

Jobot seeks a Litigation Associate with 3+ years of civil litigation experience to join our Tampa office. The ideal candidate will handle complex civil matters, draft pleadings, take depositions, and collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy.

Florida Bar license and strong writing, research, and organizational skills are required. We offer mentorship, growth opportunities, and exposure to a broad civil litigation practice in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience in complex, general liability, commercial, or business litigation.
• Experience taking and defending depositions, handling hearings and mediations, and assisting with trial preparation.
• Active Florida Bar license and in good standing.
• Strong writing, research, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle matters throughout the full civil litigation lifecycle, from initial case assessment through trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and develop persuasive legal arguments.
• Assist with trial strategy, preparation, and execution.
• Communicate directly with clients, witnesses, experts, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Work closely with senior attorneys to develop and execute case strategy.
• Manage increasing portions of matters independently while maintaining high‑quality client service.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and participate in the continued development of the firm's litigation practice.
