Job description

Associate Category Business Manager - Bakery

The Associate Category Business Manager for Fresh Bakery is responsible for developing and managing the procurement and merchandising programs for categories of merchandising so as to achieve budgeted sales, gross profit, inventory turns, and service levels. Work with Asset Managers, Category Business Managers and pricing in order to maximize support for assigned categories.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in developing business plans that will meet our budgeted sales.
  • Assist in developing warehouse inventory budget and service level budget by category to meet or exceed corporate goals as it relates to inventory and service level.
  • Assist in developing logistic initiatives with all manufacturers - quantify savings per initiative.
  • Assist in maintaining warehouse and store inventory levels of assigned category.
  • Ensure that negotiated programs are well communicated and well understood by all key stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing plan-o-grams that are to be used to implement business plans at store level.
  • Complete weekly analysis of all events and sales items to ensure targets were met.
  • Assist in the communication of departmental programs.
  • Work with Store Brands team to develop sales initiatives that will meet our store brands sales, profit and penetration goals.
  • Assist with formulation sheets, recipe development, costing, and margin rates.
  • Assist with item setup, PLU creation, ingredient statements, allergen statements, and nutritional statements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Satisfactory performance reviews.
  • Excellent mathematical, organizational, analytical and planning skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • 1+ years of store or related industry experience.
