Job summary

Schumacher & Co., America’s leading name for fabric and wallcoverings, invites a summer Hospitality intern to support sampling, sales and marketing efforts, and order processing within the Hospitality team in New York City.

The role focuses on growth initiatives for the Hospitality brand and involves collaboration with Design Consultant and Project Manager teams, as well as operational tasks to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or hold a bachelor's degree and have a competitive GPA.
• A successful multi-tasker who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to be both collaborative and self-sufficient to meet and exceed needs of business.
• A great interest for interior design and creative
• Knowledgeable and/or interested in textiles and wallcoverings and hospitality markets.
• Competent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• A self-motivated, proactive, fearless and positive
• Eager to be a team player and learn along the way

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with Design Consultant and Project Manager teams to support clients.
• Process memo orders and project shops for the Hospitality team.
• Cut and label custom Hospitality fabrics and wallcoverings for designer approval.
• Collaborate with the Project Management team to execute key initiatives and tasks for the department's growth.
• Assist with operations and logistical tasks as needed
