Schumacher & Co. is seeking a Design Coordinator to support the Hospitality design and account teams in New York City.

This junior role is suited to someone who has a proactive approach, a willingness to learn and collaborate, and is highly organized. This is an entry‑level, on‑site role well suited to a recent graduate with a design or textile background who wants hands‑on experience in the hospitality and contract interiors industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Textile Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Proficient in Excel and Smartsheet; strong color and pattern matching.
• Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator; AVA experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Strike Off and CFA support: cut fabric/wallcovering/trims for approvals; track CFA requests; verify color/ dye-lot accuracy.
• Sampling & order processing: cut memo samples; process memo and yardage orders; coordinate shipments.
• Design & Digital Asset Management: scan, organize, archive design files and memos; maintain version histories; learn product ranges.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with designers, project managers, and mills; assist with vendor meetings and invoicing.
