Description:
Biognosys provides world-leading proteomics services to customers with a strong scientific background in diverse fields of the life sciences. We offer solutions tailored to each specific customer’s needs. You will be part of the contract research services business, focusing on expanding work and collaboration into established pharma and biotech accounts, as well as developing new business opportunities primarily in the Boston/Cambridge area. You will combine your experience in drug discovery and commercial sales to propose solutions that help customers advance their drug development pipelines while supporting the broader proteomics knowledge base.
Duties:
- Devise a business plan to achieve regional targets related to Biognosys’ three main service offerings: TrueDiscovery, TrueSignature, and TrueTarget.
- Identify key pharma, biotech, and academic accounts and create strategic plans for growth across therapeutic areas and all phases of the drug development pipeline.
- Expand the customer base through prospecting, departmental/institutional presentations, roadshows, scientific conferences, and other activities.
- Consult clients on study designs, capture research plans and objectives in project proposals, and coordinate with the scientific director and project management teams to execute project design, sample submission, and reporting.
- Maintain updated client and opportunity information in the Customer Relationship Management database.
- Stay informed about the competitive landscape and market trends, and communicate relevant changes to internal teams to inform strategy and offerings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences, molecular biology, pharmacology, biochemistry, or related fields.
- Experience in ‘omics or mass spectrometry from a sales or technical perspective. Commercial experience in research, clinical services, diagnostics, or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of drug discovery markets and the drug development pipeline is a plus.
- This position is remote but based in the greater Boston area (relocation assistance not provided).
- Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits and conferences, including some travel to Biognosys’ headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.
- Strong interest in connecting scientific information with a business approach.
