A leading global company in medical science is seeking a Director of Business Development to expand its client base in the United States. The role involves prospecting new business opportunities, developing strong relationships with key decision-makers, and leading the sales process. Candidates should have a university degree in health sciences and 3-5 years of relevant experience in the CRO sector.

We are looking for a Director of Business Development to expand our existing client base in the United States.
This position is open to those based in the Northeast of the United States.
The role involves actively prospecting and leveraging potential new business opportunities within specified customer/accounts, cultivating strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, and developing deep knowledge of the customer/account organization.
Responsibilities include analyzing potential opportunities, developing detailed business plans and sales strategies, identifying and responding to customer needs, and proposing appropriate strategies and solutions.
The Director will lead the entire sales process, coordinate with proposal and operations teams, handle follow-ups, and ensure smooth hand-offs to project teams with proper knowledge transfer.
This role also involves maintaining high visibility within customer organizations, monitoring customer satisfaction, attending industry events, and acting as a liaison between US clients and operations.
University degree in health sciences or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Demonstrable competency in sales or business development, preferably for a Contract Research Organization or healthcare services provider.
3-5 years of business development experience in the CRO sales arena.
Working proficiency with Salesforce.
Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Willingness and capability to travel.
